Jimmy Jack - Mission Critical Designer with AES Carolinas began his career in the Mission Critical world with AirTight a Charlotte Based Mechanical Contractor in Charlotte, NC. With an Computer and Electronics Engineering degree he was originally hired as inside sales support for Data Center Power and Cooling Sales. His ability to adapt the changing environment of the IT world and his aptitude for Electrical and Mechanical systems quickly earned him a position in the Outside Sales and Technical role for many things AirTight was involved in. As industry trends within the Data Center world become a labyrinth of computing and software requirements the infrastructure that supports them must not only be reliable but energy efficient. His ability to dig into the details of these complex systems and increasing desire to learn more has made Jimmy an industry trusted consultant and customer advocate in system designs. He spends a lot of time with Consulting Engineers coming up with innovative solutions to accomplish sustainability and energy efficiency. Much of Jimmy's background is not from the Critical Facilities world; he comes from the retail sales and technical back ground training and educating sales and technical staff on the new technologies which consumers are attuned to on a daily bases. His success with large retail companies across the country has taught him diversity in educating and management skills. One of Jimmy's great achievements is his participation with the 1988 US Olympic Demonstration team in the Seoul Korea. Still actively involved in the sport he spends his off time teaching the youth discipline and the art of Tae Kwon Do. Avid animal lover and heavily involved with local organizations such as the 7x24 Exchange, Carolina IT Professionals and ASHRAE he consistently looks to further his knowledge and stay connected with the community.
